Environmental Policy & Carbon Neutrality
Our Environment Policy
We recognise the expectations of our own staff, suppliers, customers and the community in relation to environmental protection and product quality. We provide services in a manner that is responsible to the Earth’s environment, protective of its natural resources and of our employee’s and visitor’s health and safety. We commit to managing our environmental effects and wastes in compliance with our legal obligations. Furthermore, we will strive to continually improve all our operations and specifically commit to:
- Work to achieve the environmental expectations of our staff, customers, suppliers and local community.
- Apply best practice standards for environmental management.
- Improve efficiency of operations to minimise water and raw material use, energy consumption, waste and pollution generation; in particular to:
- Pursue a policy of adopting environmentally friendly technologies, eco friendly products and working processes.
- Reducing the use of volatile organic compounds and preventing solvents from entering the atmosphere.
- Recycle all possible products including – waste paper from the office and manufacturing operations, packaging and plastic, aluminum plates, waste film and photographic chemicals.
- Create awareness among our staff and suppliers of the potential environmental effect of operations with which they are involved, and how they can work towards minimising these environmental effects.
- Continue to conduct regular assessments and monitoring of the environmental effects of our manufacturing to identify potential areas for improvement, and to follow through with programs to achieve these improvements.

Carbon Neutral
Colleagues Adrep have recently signed up to the Tree Planting initiative with Carbon Neutral™.
Each year, we’ll calculate the CO2 emissions created by our operations and employees, and fund the planting of trees to sequester those emissions . This year we estimated our footprint to be around 20 tonnes of CO2 and have donated accordingly.
Trees absorb carbon dioxide while they grow and trap it for years to come. On average, over 100 years, six trees planted in Australia will absorb 1 tonne of CO2. Trees also help to combat salinity, reduce soil erosion, clean underground water systems and provide habitat for wildlife.
Carbon Neutral was started as a not-for-profit organisation by Men of the Trees in 2001 as a way to help industries and the community to take responsibility for the effect of greenhouse gas emissions on the environment.
Since then Carbon Neutral have planted hundreds of thousands of trees in some of the most environmentally vulnerable areas of Australia. For more information visit www.carbonneutral.com.au
